You can perform basic operations (add, edit, delete) with Options and Values of all products, other than doing it through some product menu. The main page of this section looks like:
Where Options appear as folders (marked in blue) and Values are listed after expanding an option. Add, Edit and Delete dropdowns include corresponding actions for either osCommerce product option or osCommerce product value. Basically, a specific value of some option is an attribute. So this data is used when creating and editing product attributes.
The following topicks are covered:
From product options toolbar and context menu, you can perform the following basic operations:
1. Refresh Data forces options list update. It is useful when you're changing connection or have any doubts like is the latest data displayed.
3. To edit osCommerce product option you can double click on it or use Edit Product Option button. It calls Edit product option form for selected product option. You can change Product Option name here.
4. You can Delete Selected Product Option from store using "Delete" button on the toolbar.
By deleting an option you'll delete all it's values as well and remove all references. So if some products have let's say Color option, this option will be removed from all products that includes it.
You won't be able to undo delete from store action, unless you've made a Database backup.
5. You can Remove Option from Products using corresponding command in the option's context menu.
This action is simular to the previous one, but while deleting an option from products you will not delete it and it's values from store but you will remove all references to it in products. So if some products have let's say Black Color attribute, this attribute will be removed from all products.
6. You can simplify options management by using Expand all or Collapse icons on the the toolbar.
